Typically a beef is reserved by the quarter. If you want a 1/2, put (2) for quantity. For a Whole, write (4). A $50 deposit is required for each quarter wanted. This is just to reserve beef. Once the actual hanging weight is known, a finale invoice will be sent with the remaining amount due as billing is based on the hanging weight. The going rate is $4.00 per lb on an average hanging weight of 150-190 lbs per quarter. Processing costs also are mostly based on hanging weight (Approx $200 per quarter) and are extra and that is paid to the processor when picking up the meat, providing there aren’t any price increases for the next 5 months. Your take home costs should be around $ 8 to $9 / lb . Vacuumed wrap the standard at Haens without any extra cost but it will stay fresh, tender and tasty for a long time! Next beef wont be ready until late January 2026. All custom cut to your instructions. Haens can divide a 1/4 into 1/8, but cutting instructions per 1/8th has to be the same, so we will only sell as small as a 1/4- if you want an 1/8, we suggest you find someone you know that will take the other 1/8 and agree on cutting instructions. Anything not chosen will be added to the ground meat. EBT can be used for any actual meat order, but can’t be used for the deposit nor any processing costs.
