Adding to our beef herd

They do well on all grass. However, we have found that instead of feeding corn or a grain mix, barley fodder with some peas and black oil

Sunflower mixed in creates a very nutritious supplement and they eat the roots and all. The seed is grown for one week in trays. Still nutrition left in the roots that normally help the plant get established before it has to rely on the soil if planted. No chemicals need raising it this way! Our beef have been without corn for over a year now, and the results have been great.
